Description

These aluminium driveway gates lead with a striking upper panel of laser-cut circular medallions, their interlocking geometric motifs arranged like a row of ornamental roundels across the top of each leaf. The intricate radial pattern casts a decorative screen while still allowing filtered glimpses of the garden behind, so the gate feels detailed without feeling closed.

Below the medallion band, the gate turns to close vertical boarding in a weathered wood-grain finish, its warm tones balancing the cooler precision of the cut-metal above. A line of raised stud detailing along the dividing rail adds a subtle nod to traditional gate hardware, giving the contemporary form a hint of heritage character.

The pairing of ornate roundels over solid planking gives the design a considered, almost architectural symmetry. Built as a double leaf, the medallions align across the central join so the run of circular motifs continues cleanly from one side to the other when the gates are drawn together across the drive.

Because every set is produced to your own opening dimensions, the medallion count and the depth of the boarded base are proportioned to fit your driveway squarely rather than being forced to a stock size. The powder-coated finish is colour-fast and hard-wearing, holding its depth of tone through sun and rain with only minimal upkeep. As the core is aluminium rather than iron, there is no risk of rust bleeding into the boarded base or the cut roundels as the years pass. The light leaves also lend themselves to automation, swinging open smoothly from a motor at the press of a remote.

The medallion motif rewards a closer look, each roundel resolving into a lattice of fine geometric spokes, while from the kerb the panels register as a rich decorative frieze. It is a design that answers particularly well to a sheltered, canopied entrance like the one shown, where the cut-work catches shadow and changing light through the course of the day.
