Description

These traditional aluminium driveway gates lead with a graceful arched top rail, topped by a row of tapered spear finials that follow the curve up to the centre and back down to the outer stiles. The arched profile gives the entrance a distinctly period feel, well suited to brick pillars, stone walls, and classically detailed properties.

A decorative band of interlocking ring motifs sits just below the arch, and slender vertical bars carry down through the upper two-thirds of the gate. The lower third is where this design distinguishes itself: a bold diamond lattice infill runs across both leaves, adding weight, texture and a genuine wrought-iron character to the base.

The double-leaf configuration opens on a central meeting stile with a heritage-style handle plate. The full assembly is powder-coated in matt black, drawing out the contrast between the openwork upper section and the denser lattice panel below.

Every gate is built to your driveway’s exact opening dimensions, so the arch, lattice pattern and finial spacing stay proportionally balanced regardless of overall width.

The interplay between the open upper section and the denser lattice base is what makes this design distinctive — the eye reads the upper two-thirds as classical railing, then meets the lattice pattern at the base as a more sculptural, wrought-iron flourish. That transition prevents the design from feeling either too repetitive at the top or too heavy overall. The style suits period properties with matching brick or stone pillars particularly well, where the lattice base echoes the visual weight of the surrounding masonry. Owners often compare this design against fully open bar-only traditional gates; this one carries more decorative weight and reads as a stronger boundary, making it a better choice where the entrance is meant to feel enclosed rather than transparent.
