Mesh Sliding Gates
Where a commercial site has heavy vehicle traffic or no room for a gate to swing open safely, a mesh sliding gate closes the opening by running sideways along the perimeter instead — keeping the entrance clear of a swing arc while maintaining the visibility a mesh gate is chosen for. Every gate we supply is a complete, made-to-measure unit, fully fabricated before it leaves us, available manually operated or ready for automation. Tracked or Cantilever
A mesh sliding gate can run one of two ways. A tracked gate follows a rail set into the ground across the opening — straightforward and effective on a level concrete or tarmac base, which describes most commercial and industrial sites. A cantilever gate has no ground track at all: it’s carried on rollers fixed to a track along a concrete pad to one side of the opening, so there’s nothing at ground level for vehicles to repeatedly drive over or for debris to collect in. On a busy HGV or plant access route, that’s often the deciding factor. Tell us your opening width and the ground conditions on site and we’ll advise which system fits.
Built to Your Opening
Kit-based sliding gate systems are typically sold in fixed width increments. We work from your actual opening measurement instead, fabricating the gate — and, for a cantilever system, the necessary overhang — to suit your specific site rather than the nearest stocked size.
Visibility Where It Matters
A mesh sliding gate keeps sightlines open across a wide vehicle entrance, which matters on sites where staff or visitors need to see traffic approaching, or where a solid barrier would create a blind spot. Schools, hospitals and sites with regular pedestrian footfall near the vehicle entrance particularly benefit from this over a solid or palisade alternative.
Automation
We supply mesh sliding gates manually operated or ready for automation, and can fit the complete automation system as part of an installation. A sliding gate suits automation well since the gate follows the same fixed path on every cycle, regardless of the site’s traffic volume.
Where Mesh Sliding Gates Are Used
Common on industrial estates, distribution depots, school and hospital vehicle entrances, and any site where a swing gate’s arc would be impractical or unsafe given traffic volume. Where an imposing security presence matters more than visibility through the gate, our palisade sliding gate offers the same tracked-or-cantilever choice in a more traditional security fencing style.
Finishes
Gates are hot-dip galvanised as standard, with a polyester powder coat available in any RAL colour on top.
