Aluminium Corner Sliding Gates

Unlike a standard sliding gate that runs along a single straight track, a corner sliding gate is built in articulated sections joined by hinges. As the gate travels, each section negotiates the bend in the track, allowing the gate to follow an angled or curved boundary rather than stopping at the corner.

A standard sliding gate requires a straight run equal to the full gate width. A corner sliding gate is designed to bend around an angle, so it can follow an L-shaped or curved boundary where a straight sliding gate would not physically fit.

The track follows the angle of the corner, with the gate's hinged sections travelling around the curve or radius of the bend. The bend needs to be engineered into the track layout, so the corner geometry is confirmed at the design stage before production.

The space required depends on the angle of the corner and the number of articulated sections. The gate needs clearance for each section to swing around the bend as it travels, which is calculated from your site measurements before production.

We need the full length of the boundary run, the angle or radius of the corner, the desired gate height, and details of the available space either side of the opening. From that we can work out how many articulated sections the gate requires.
