Description

These contemporary aluminium driveway gates lead with a slim upper band of closely spaced vertical bars, creating a narrow, almost picture-window effect across the crown of both leaves. The band lets light through and softens the gate visually, without giving up much in the way of privacy below.

Beneath the band, the majority of the gate height is filled with a solid vertical-slat panel running the full width. The slats have crisp linear definition between each plank, producing a clean, textured surface that stays modern in feel and delivers strong privacy at eye level.

The double-leaf format opens centrally with a discreet handle, and the meeting stile is kept minimal so the horizontal division between top band and slat panel reads as the primary architectural line. A deep matt black powder coat finishes the assembly, holding its colour against brick, stone and timber-clad surroundings.

Every gate is manufactured to your driveway’s exact opening, with the top band and slat panel scaled together so the balance stays true regardless of final width or height.

The narrow window band across the top of the gate is subtle enough that many will read the design as a full privacy gate at first glance, only noticing the picture-window effect on closer approach. That restraint is deliberate — the band lets in a small amount of light and view without undermining the privacy work the slat panel is doing below. Because the top band is narrow, the horizontal division line sits high on the gate, which gives the overall silhouette a grounded, base-heavy feel that works particularly well on shorter driveways where a taller-looking gate would feel out of proportion. Set against dark brick or timber cladding, the design nearly disappears into the surrounding architecture; against pale render, the picture-window band becomes a strong horizontal accent. It is a more subtle alternative to designs where the open and solid sections are split closer to fifty-fifty.
