Description

These contemporary aluminium driveway gates carry an all-over abstract pattern of cut-out blocks, an irregular composition of solid rectangles and open voids scattered across the full height of each leaf. The staggered, brick-like arrangement gives the face constant visual interest, with no repeating grid for the eye to settle into.

The mix of filled and open blocks screens the drive while still allowing threads of light and glimpses through, so the gate feels substantial without ever turning fully solid. Every section is a slightly different size, which is exactly what lends the design its lively, contemporary-art character and stops it looking mechanical or mass-produced.

Finished in matt black, the cut-out pattern is at its most striking when backlit, the open blocks glowing while the solid ones hold their shape against the light. The double-leaf format carries the scattered composition across both halves so it reads as one continuous artwork spanning the entrance.

Each gate is produced to the opening you specify, letting the block-and-void layout be arranged so the balance of solid to open looks intentional across your exact width. The powder-coated aluminium resists chipping and fade, so the crisp edges of every cut block stay sharp and the finish stays even over the years. With no steel beneath to rust, the many cut edges stay clean and will not weep brown stains down the face in damp weather. The aluminium leaves are light enough to automate without strain, and the striking pattern can be carried onto matching side panels to frame the whole entrance.

Seen from the kerb the blocks resolve into a bold textured screen, while from a few paces the individual cut-outs sharpen into a crafted mosaic of light and shadow. It makes a genuine feature of the entrance, suiting confident modern and stone-clad homes, and it is especially theatrical at sunrise and sunset when low light rakes across the pattern.
