Description
These contemporary aluminium driveway gates set bold geometric maze panels either side of a horizontal slat centre, marrying two strong contemporary languages in one frame. The maze cut-work traces interlocking right-angled lines, an Art Deco-influenced labyrinth that anchors the outer edges of the design and gives it a confident, graphic presence.
Between the patterned side panels, a run of horizontal slats keeps the centre of the gate calmer and more restrained, providing screening and a resting point for the eye. The pairing of intricate maze-work against plain slats gives the face a curated balance, so the ornament feels placed rather than scattered across the whole leaf.
Matt black ties the differing elements into one coherent whole, the sharp maze lines and the level slats reading as parts of a single considered composition. As a double leaf, the arrangement is mirrored so the maze panels bookend the entrance symmetrically and frame the slatted centre.
Because each gate is made to your surveyed opening, the width of the maze panels and the slat centre can be proportioned so the pattern stays bold and balanced at your particular size. Rust-proof aluminium and a durable powder coat mean the crisp lines of the cut-work stay clean and sharp for years, without corrosion creeping into the fine detail. The finish is a baked-on powder coat that resists scuffs and fade, so the maze panels and slats hold their sharp edges for years with only occasional cleaning. The light aluminium leaves take easily to automation, and matching maze side panels can extend the motif along an adjoining wall.
Compared with the all-over cut-out designs in this range, this gate keeps its ornament to the flanks, which can feel more architectural and less busy across a wide opening. It suits the substantial modern and stone-fronted homes shown here, where a strong, graphic entrance is wanted without covering the entire gate in pattern.
