Description

These contemporary aluminium driveway gates centre on an open geometric grid, where slim bars intersect to form an irregular arrangement of rectangles of varying size. The uneven, asymmetric grid reads as a piece of modern art across the upper face and lets the frontage behind show through, keeping the entrance light and transparent.

A solid band runs along the base to ground the design and provide a measure of privacy at the lower edge, so the airy grid above has a firm visual footing. The contrast of open lattice over closed panel is what gives the gate its contemporary edge, balancing openness against a discreet degree of screening.

The whole composition is finished in matt black, the fine grid bars standing out crisply against the paved drive and stacked-stone surroundings. Built as a double leaf, the irregular rectangles continue across both halves so the grid appears deliberately composed from one stile to the other rather than simply mirrored.

Every gate is engineered to your exact opening, which lets the grid be laid out so the rectangles fall in a balanced, intentional arrangement for your width rather than a repeated stock pattern. The powder-coated aluminium is colour-fast and rust-proof, holding its finish through years of weather with only light cleaning. With no steel core to corrode, the fine grid keeps its clean intersections even on damp or coastal plots. The bars are set into a rigid frame for strength across the open design, and the light leaves automate smoothly from a swing motor should you want powered access.

Kept black the grid is graphic and bold; softened to a grey or bronze it would take on a lighter, more delicate character while retaining the same open geometry. The design is a strong match for the stone and glass modern home shown, where the entrance is meant to feel transparent and almost gallery-like against the architecture.
