Description

These wood-effect aluminium driveway gates deliver the warmth and natural character of timber cladding without any of the maintenance. A powder-coated wood-effect finish is applied to the main body of each leaf, producing a convincing grain pattern that reads as real timber from arrival distance down to close-up.

The design places a slim open bar section across the top of each leaf, giving a small band of visual lightness above the main plank panel. The plank section itself runs vertically, with subtle definition between each simulated board and a series of small decorative bolt-heads that echo traditional clavos-style ironwork.

The frame around each leaf is powder-coated in matt black, providing crisp contrast against the wood-effect panels and giving the gate a distinct architectural edge. The double-leaf configuration opens centrally on a black meeting stile with a matching handle set.

Made to your exact opening size, with the plank width and top-band proportion recalculated per order so the wood-and-frame balance stays consistent.

The convincing wood-grain pattern comes through most strongly at close range — from the road or from across the driveway, the visual character reads more as “warm timber-toned gate” than as a specifically simulated finish, which is exactly the intended effect. The small clavos-style bolt-heads scattered across the plank surface add a genuinely traditional detail borrowed from ranch and cottage-door design, giving the gate a hand-made quality that a plain wood-effect panel would lack. That combination — modern aluminium base structure, wood-effect surface, hand-forged style detailing — is what makes this design distinctive within the wider category. The style pairs particularly well with brick or stone properties where the timber tones warm the entrance without introducing actual wood as a maintenance headache. Compared with genuine timber gates, this design delivers the same visual warmth without warping, rotting or repainting cycles.
