There are two systems a palisade sliding gate can use, tracked or cantilever. A tracked system follows a rail set into the ground across the opening, which performs reliably on a level concrete or tarmac base — the usual surface on most commercial and industrial sites. Let us know your opening width and the ground conditions on site and we’ll recommend the right system for your construction site compound.

Instead of a standard width band, we build to your actual opening dimensions, including the extra overhang a cantilever system requires to sit clear of the opening.

Sliding gates share the same profile and finish options as our fixed fencing — W-section or D-section pales, triple pointed, single pointed, rounded and notched, or plain rounded tops — so nothing about the entrance looks mismatched.

Gates come manually operated as standard, with automation available and fitted during installation if required. The fixed path suits motorised operation particularly well on a site with varying daily traffic.

Gates come hot-dip galvanised as standard, with a powder coat option in any RAL colour afterwards should you want to match existing site colours.
