Electric gates, also called automatic gates, start from £1,500 supply only, with the motor included in the gate price. Installation is quoted separately. The final price depends on the design, size and style of the gate, and on extras such as an intercom or key card access.
What decides the price of automatic gates
Several things combine to set the price:
- Gate type: swing, sliding, cantilever sliding, corner sliding, telescopic or bi-fold, each with its own motor arrangement.
- Size: wider gates cost more than narrow ones.
- Design and style: the look and finish of the gate itself.
- Safety and access extras: a safety edge, an intercom or key card access.
- Installation: quoted separately from the supply price. If power has to be brought to the gate, we run the cable.
What is included in an electric gate
Every automated gate comes with a motor, safety sensors, a control box and a remote control. These upgrades cost extra: a safety edge, an audio or video intercom, and key card access.
We use DEA, CAME, FAAC and Nice motors.
Types of electric gate we automate
Electric swing gates
Gates that open on hinges, like a door. See our driveway gates.
Electric sliding gates
Gates that move sideways along the boundary. See our sliding gates.
Cantilever sliding gates
Sliding gates that run without a track on the ground.
Corner sliding gates
Sliding gates for sites where the gate has to run around a corner. See our metal corner sliding gates, aluminium corner sliding gates and composite corner sliding gates.
Telescopic gates
Gates that slide open in overlapping sections, so they need less room to the side. See our aluminium telescopic gates.
Bi-fold gates
Gates that fold in sections as they open. See our bi-fold gates.

Site survey and drawn plan
Before we manufacture and install an electric gate, we carry out a site survey. We take our own measurements and photographs of the site, then draw up a plan and provide it to you before manufacture and installation.
Supply only, delivery or supply and installation
Supply only means you collect the order or we arrange delivery. If you would like us to fit it, we install nationwide and run the power cable when needed. Motors can also be bought on their own.
How to get an electric gate quote
- Send us the gate type, the approximate width and the style you want.
- Tell us which extras you need, such as an intercom or key card access.
- We price the job from the details you send.
- We survey the site, take our own measurements and images, and provide a drawn plan before manufacture and installation.
